Happy Sunday!

Hello, hope you're having a nice weekend, I have to say mine has been great so far.

Thursday was the last day of the school term, but we were out of school on INSET, which was actually a really nice way to wind down for the Easter break.

Then yesterday I went to the Sincerely Yours paper craft fair in Leigh and not only did I get some lovely crafty goodies (pictured below) but I finally got to meet craft blog friends in "real life"- Sally from Craft Mojo, Lisa, my fellow Craft Mojo DT and Jen Nelson from The Tiny Blue Butterfly and Less is more! I was a bit nervous at saying hi at first but they were all so lovely I'm glad I did! It was so lovely to meet up with people you already know so much about online via blogs etc........ if only we could meet for crafting!!

AND when I got home I decided to create a Melly Moo Facebook account so I can keep in touch with fellow crafters a bit more easily ( I used to have a personal Facebook account but with issues related to being a teacher I decided it was best to close it down about 4 years ago). Anyway, within minutes I had friend requests arriving which was so lovely.... I feel like I've been missing out so far.

To finish off yesterday we had tea with my parents and then today I'm crafting whilst Martin goes for a run and then we are taking Meg out for a walk and a mini picnic (in the car of course). It's been ages since I've had such a relaxing weekend- unfortunately I am back in school tomorrow as I've offered my exam classes extra revision sessions- but I don't mind, they're worth it!

So, back to what you are probably here for- a card. This one has been on my desk and photographed for ages but with exam revision in full flow at school I hadn't got round to posting it. I've used the Wplus9 Whole lotta happy stamp set from Craft Molo (out of stock at the moment). I really like this set, the shadow-style text is great and when it arrived I couldn't believe how big it is either. I've also got the match die set which is great too.

I've very simply embellished it with yellow gems and used a yellow base card to emphasise the yellow ink!

Thanks for stopping by- I'll be back tomorrow with a Craft Mojo DT card and hopefully every other day for at least the next two weeks while I'm off school!

Rebecca x

  1. Ooooh look at all those lovely goodies!! I never hear of much going on in the South West craft-wise, it would be so great to meet some of you lovely bloggers in person. I love your card, those stars are fab! Enjoy your picnic, no chance of anything like that down here today, its wet and miserable so I'm hoping to get some crafting done as I'm stuck inside xx

  2. Ooh, lucky you - you'll have a great time playing with those new goodies. I really should set up a Facebook a/c for the card thing; a colleague got into some bother over a F/B account a couple of years ago so I've been very wary ever since. We're off for a fortnight now but I'm back in a week on Tuesday for Easter school with my Higher class. It's the last year of Higher for us; the new National 4 & 5 started this year :( and National 6 replaces Higher in the summer. Still trying to get my head round the changes! Have a great Easter holiday. Hugs, Tracey

    1. I know what you mean about FB, but I thought if I set it up for my craft blog rather than me it would be a bit safer and protected from students trying to befriend me. Enjoy your Easter, Rebecca x

  3. Oooh loving your new supplies Rebecca - I was tempted to go but really bought plenty this month so decided it was too much of a temptation. Maybe next time! Love your card and great to see you on facebook. I know what you mean about all these online friends - I'm probably more in touch with my crafty buddies than others yet I've not met many. Enjoy the Easter break. Sarah xx
