Promarkers storage and colour end dots

Morning, I don't have a card today but I do have a post about how I store and organise my Promarkers. Now I know many crafters are starting to move over to Copics, and I have a few myself for colouring skin tones. However, they are quite costly and as my colouring skills are still in need of serious practice I don't plan to ditch all my existing pens in favour of a new system. I guess it comes down to personal choice (and budget) in the end.

I use these Crafters Companion storage trays and I group the pens according to their colours.

I keep a record of the pens I have using this blank chart from Letraset, I simply use the pens to shade in the appropriate boxes. I prefer this method than using the precoloured ones like this one as it lets me see what I have and reflects the colours more accurately.

As you can see from the photo I added my own colour spots onto the lids of the pens for easy reference but I found a pack of some preprinted and blank Promarker end dots on the Letraset website (£1.56) so I ordered them along with some ultra-fine nibs. Each pack contains 148 dots of pre-coloured spots and 2 lots of 148 blank dots!

I still have to get around to sticking on all the dots but as the labels have the colours and the ref numbers on them it will help with colour blending.

Thanks for stopping by,

Rebecca x

  1. I've just bought the trays and find them much better for storing pens. I've also added my own end dots, but may get some of the letraset ones.
