New baby boy

Hello, it only seemed fair to make a boy card after making a girl card earlier in the week, so I did as part of my pre-class task for the online card class- "stencilled" which starts tomorrow.

And here it is, I've tried to do something a bit different for me...

I've used a Tim Holtz stars stencil with glue and some bargain flocking powder I found in Hobby Craft- to make the fuzzy background.

The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted and is stamped on to a MFT banner stax die cut.

Challenge inspiration:

CASology- cue word contrast (lots of examples here, the blue against the white, the fuzzy flocking against the smooth card, the angle of the stars against the rest of the straight lines, and I suppose the colours and design against the occasion, normally you'd use pale blues on baby cards)

The card concept- add texture (clean and simple Or clean and graphic....I'm not sure!)

Less is more- New baby

Thanks for stopping by,

  3. wow, I love it. I have to get flocking powder now lol. I wonder if that would work with flower soft? hmmmmm. I wonder if you took away the stencil before you put on the flocking powder. I'm going to go try it. great idea.
