Reach for the sky!

Morning, I have something a bit different today. I have a before and after and I'd love to hear your opinions. I made this first card after being inspired by the challenge over at Less is more- up in the air. I used a Lawn Fawn stamp set called Sunny Skies. I dies cut the circle and stamped clouds all over it, stamped and paper pieced the kite and curved the sentiment around the bottom of the focal point including a little bird from the same set.

Then , as I often do I showed my husband, who as I've mentioned before is a graphic designer. He said he like it but added its a shame there is a little "blue glow" behind the cloud panel. So, I taking his advice I re-made the card but used a ranger blending tool to add a touch of blue ink to the base card.

I also decoupaged the little bird as he looked a bit odd with a blue tinge to him. I have to admit I prefer this "pimped" card but would love to know which you prefer.

Thanks for stopping by,

Rebecca x

  2. WOW!!

I love both of them Rebecca. Maybe my favourite is the second but only because I like dimension on my cards.

I love the simplicity of this, the 'circular' clouds are very effective.
