Gosh that was hectic- my first attempt at the 10 minute craft dash challenge! The idea is you have some colour inspiration and 10 mins to make a card (you're allowed to gather supplies before hand). I used the inspiration card from Muse Card Club to help speed up my inspiration too.

So these are the colours from 10min craft dash, lovely combo. 

I started (before the timer was on) by grabbing a selection of suitable papers (the top and bottom stripes turned out blue in the photo they are in fact dark aqua) , ink, cardbase, stamps etc. I had a rough idea of what I wanted to do- I really like the zig-zag stripes on the Muse card, so I also grabbed my cuttlebug and dies. 

Once the timer was on I cut my 12x12 paper into 6" squares and because it was quite thin I piled up a few layers before cutting out lots of zig-zgas using my MTF dienamics chevron stripes die. I knew I wouldn't have time for careful gluing so I arranged the pieces I wanted to use on a sheet of Lettraset adhesive paper. Next I transferred the stripes onto the base card (they aren't as perfect as I would hope) and the trimmed off the over-hanging edges. 

Finally, I stamped the sentiment- and of course is smudged! But a last min grab of some gems which I keep in the drawer next to where I work (hopefully) covers up the mistake.

I don't think it turned out too bad for a super speedy make, my final times was 7.18 (maybe a went too fast!)- makes me wonder how I spend so long making cards the rest of the time!
