OHHH, do you remember....

When I was making this card I had such a flashback to my childhood and perhaps where my love of all things crafty started. I was never into Blue Peter as a child but boy did I LOVE Tony Hart from Hartbeat. Whatta guy, they way he could yield a bit of chalk and make the New York skyline appear out of a sheet of black paper was truly magic! I guess I should point out for any people not of my age (30 something) or not from the UK that Tony Hart was a lovely, white hair gentleman (well he always came across quite posh) artist who had a kids TV program in the 70s and 80s. He used to do lots of arty thing like make landscapes with chalk etc. perhaps this link may help supporting my ramblings.

Anyway, as I started off my post saying I had a massive flashback when making todays card. I used a white ink pad to create the moon by inking through a punch circle. The tree is from a Marion Emberson "build a tree" stamp set and the clouds and landscape were just free hand. I smudged them a little (on purpose) to add a eeery glow.
I also used the white ink to add the sentiment made form two different fonts. The monster is from a Papersmooches set and coloured with Promarkers and attached with some 3D foam. To finish I used a black ink pad to add some bats- can you spot them in the sky?
So, there is may card and my overly long post, sorry about that! (wonder if this card would make it into the gallery- another Tony Hart reference)
