Afternoon, I've been busy all day if a little slow because of my finger! I spent an absolute age making this card and although it isn't my usual style I think it turned out quite nice.
I have used lots of different K&co papers which are from a giant 12x12 paperpad of their best designs. I decoupaged (and aged by crumpling and inking the edges) the flowers from one sheet and used several other papers for the layers and accents- even he butterflies were cut out. The seam binding is from the ribbon girl and the pearl spray is something my mum found which was a left over from when she made my wedding bouquet. The happy birthday stamp is actually from a very old see-d set (how vinatge!) and the metal charm is from making Memories. I also did something I don't normally do which is decorate the inside of the card too. I think with all the layers this will have to be a hand-delivery only card.
Challenges:
I was also very pleased to see I'd been picked as the winner on the Forever Friends challenge blog with this card.

ReplyDeleteSuch an elegant vintage inspired card! I love how the flowers and butterflies pop out from the card base, and the bow and pearl strand are so decorative elements too.
