Something a little different today- a postcard. Crafty cardmakers have challenged us to create a 4x6" postcard with the theme seaside. We were asked to include some beach and ocean in our scene. As this is also a DT call for the blog I really wanted to take part but initially struggled to come up with any inspiration as I didn't have ANY suitable stamps. However, after a search through my 12x12 paper stash I found some appropriate beach themed K&co papers. I spent ages cutting out all of the pieces- the waves took a long time on their own.
After I cut out all of the pieces I layered them up using glue and 1mm foam pads. To finish I added a stamped Kaiser craft sentiment and some glitter glue. I also added some Woodware stamped clouds and flying birds.
So, as I said at the start of this post this is something different for me but I think I quite like the finished product.
Thanks for visiting and don't forget my blog candy giveaway.

This is a great card, Rebecca! Love the scene you've created - the waves look awesome, as do all the fab summery details you've put together on this card.
ReplyDeleteThis is great Rebecca! Clever you for using the papers! Its difficult sometimes if you feel you haven't got a stamp but you've done a great job. I love the torn waves as well.

This is fabulous - love how you came up with something different to follow the challenge. Sometimes the best ideas come out of situations like that!

This is pretty! :) The waves are great. It seems like it's a little windy, especially with the boat tilting.
