Second card of the day, which was created using the colours from this weeks ColourQ palette and embellishments to tie in with the challenge from Papertake weekly- make your own embellishments.
I know this is a bit twee but I just bought this cute sizzix caterpillar die from eBay and wanted to use him straight away. I've also been asked recently to make a lot of leaving cards for the end of the school term and found it was quite difficult to get the tone/sentiment just right. SO I thought this quite light hearted design ticked the box. (it also continues my animals theme which I've been into of late)
I simply die cut the caterpillar, leaves and butterfly and hand cut the branch. I used decorative scissors to make one of the leaves look like it had been nibbled. I added white Craftwork cards card candi dots and gems to the butterfly. To add the final bit of fun I gave both characters googly eyes. The sentiment is from Kaisercrafts- bon voyage and stamped with a memento ink pad.
Thanks for looking,
Rebecca x
