WOYWW

I've often looked on the Stamping Ground blog at WOYWW but I've never posted any pictures..... so here is a first for me!

I thought I'd post some pictures showing an Easter project I made from my dad after making this basket for my mum.

This take-out style box was made using a template from the book pictured below (Special packaging). This is actually belongs to my husband who is a graphic designer but it is a fantastic resource as not on are the loads of templates for boxes, trays, containers but there is also a CD-rom inside the back cover with printable versions of all the templates.

As you can see from this little snapshot my desk is, as ever, very cluttered. There are various bits and pieces lying around that are left over from several Easter projects I've been working on. You can also see my yummy desk tablecloth which is covering up a badly marked white desk! If I'm feeling brave on another Wednesday I'll share some more photos of my crafting space.

Here's how I made the take-out box....

I printed the template for the takeout box over 2 sheets of A4 paper and cut and stuck them together- as pictured. Then I traced the whole shape onto textured card and scored all the fold lines.

Next, very simply I folded up the box and attached the wire handle (there is no glue sticking this box together at all!) and embellished with some Easter eggs made from an oval punch. Finally, I filled with chocolate goodies and a cute little birdie.

Thanks for looking,

Rebecca x
