Craft Mojo DT, Day 1 of 5W5D and a giveaway!

Hi, welcome to;

a) Monday
b) My first day back at school
c) my Craft Mojo DT post
d) the first day in a new blog mini series
e) a chance for you to win a £5 gift voucher to the Craft Mojo online shop!!

Thats right I'm back to school today and in a bid to keep me blogging and because I received some really positive feedback on last weeks mini series I've decided to do another! For the next 5 days I will be posting a new project everyday day, however each of the projects will be made using the same product.

I'm calling this mini series 5W5D (5 ways in 5 days) and the rules I've set myself are quite simple. I will make 1 project a day for 5 days, each day will focus on a different style, medium, element etc. BUT each project will use the same stamp set! I am allowing myself to use some other products and even a few extra sentiment stamps etc but the main focal point of all 5 cards/tags etc must be created from the same stamp set.

Why am I doing this? Well as I said I'm back to school today so my time is going to be squeezed more than ever and hopefully having only one stamp set to focus on will make my crafting a bit quicker. Furthermore, it will encourage me to get value for money from my stamp sets- all too often I buy something and only use it one or twice or use it in the same way repeatedly. Hopefully, this little project will force me to be more creative too- thinking about how to get the most from a purchase and use every element of it.

The product I am focussing on this week is this lovely stamp set called "Cupcake Cutie" from MFT. I picked this set as it had a few images that would work together or on their own and a simple sentiment.

Anyway, enough about the details, on to the card. For the first card I've decided to make an "obvious" card. I've made a little scene using the girl, dog and the sentiment. I've used a purple a grey colour palette which I think makes it ideal for a younger teenage girl. Nothing to complicated here just  a few layers and a bit of colouring with Promarkers.

Other supplies:

Okay, so now it's over to you, as I said I'm giving you, dear reader, a chance to win a £5 voucher, kindly donated by Sally from Craft Mojo, to spend in the Craft Mojo shop- perhaps you'd like to buy the Cupcake Cutie stamp set, or another product I've used this week. If you'd like to be in with a chance of winning all you have to do is leave a comment on one of the 5W5D posts, or even better still join in yourself and add a link to your own 5W5D. Every comment will put you in the draw and if you decided to join in you can have a an extra entry too. I'll pick a random winner at the the end of the week and this is open to everyone worldwide!!!

Well, thank your for visiting, I hope you will come back tomorrow and see my second project using the Cupcake Cutie stamp set!

  5. Hope today went well for you back at school. I had to reshelve half the library today following some work on the windows over the summer - very tiring, but a great work-out! LOVE your card and I can't wait to see what you create with this cute set over the next few days, Jo x
