Shabby thank you card

Hello, I have something a little different for me today. I was inspired by the challenge at the Shabby Tea Room which was to make a spring themed project, using the colours in the photo and make it "shabby". Now as I'm sure you all know my preferred style is CAS (clean and simple) but I thought I'd try to adapted my style.......so lets see what you think.

I used a Sizzix embossing folder for the sentiment which I inked to add definition. The roses and leaves are from Clearly Besotted- Leafy accents stamps/dies and Blooming marvelous. The scallop edge on the white panel was cut using a Tim Holtz die and the butterflies are a Martha Stewart 3 in 1 punch.

Finally, to "shabby" it up some more I added the hat pin from The Ribbon Girl, a seam binding bow and lots of pearls and gems.

So what do you think? I quite like it, although I guess it isn't as "shabby" as it could be it is certainly more so than my usual creations.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a lovely day,
